Chef de Partie – Take the Lead in Our Kitchen with Britain’s Oldest Brewer!

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll play a key role in running your section of the kitchen, preparing dishes to the highest standard, and supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver exceptional quality. Where You’ll Be Working
Located in Bearstead, near Maidstone, the Oak on the Green sits on one of the prettiest village greens in England. Founded in 1665, the Oake Inn, famous visitors to the pub include Baroness Orczy, creator of the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Kent leg spin bowler Alfred Percy ‘Tich’ Freeman. Today, the Oak on the Green is renowned for using largely local produce throughout the extensive food menu offering both British and Mexican cuisine.
What You’ll Do
- Take responsibility for your section, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to company standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service during busy periods.
- Uphold hygiene, safety, and compliance standards at all times.
- Assist with stock control and ordering when required.
- Support and mentor junior team members, helping them develop their skills.
