Teaching assistant in Nottingham

Shepeau Stow Primary School are lookingto appoint a Level 1 – General Teaching Assistant for 25 hours per week, 39weeks per year.

Experience of working with SENDchildren would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will becommitted to helping children to succeed, have excellent communication skillsand be able to work using their own initiative.

Overview of the role of a TeachingAssistant:

• Providingsupport to children in and out of the classroom.
• Assistingwith a range of educational needs.
• Providingchildren with the care and compassion they need to thrive in school.
• Liaisingwith parents and external agencies where suitable.
• Supportingwith appropriate interventions such as phonics and maths.
• Workingcollaboratively with the teacher and the wider school team to improve outcomesfor children.
