Is accounting and auditing your bread and butter? Then, we want to hear from you! We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Audit & Accounts Manager to join our dynamic accounting practice. We’re looking for a qualified audit and accounts manager who’s eager for a varied, multidisciplinary role in a leading firm of accountants.
You will be working with a varied client base across a range of exciting sectors. We’d like you to have a passion for working within a practice, to be driven and forward thinking, to have great management and people skills and genuinely enjoy the process of accountancy work.
Main duties will include:
- Manage a varied portfolio with client turnovers of up to £35m.
- Leading audits from planning to completion.
- Overseeing audit planning, fieldwork and completion stages of statutory audits in several sectors.
- Delivering strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and key disclosure requirements.
- Identifying potential improvements to financial systems and internal controls.
- Advising clients on statutory requirements for financial statements and leading client audit meetings to discuss audit findings.
- Exposure to various accountancy software programs, such as Sage 50 and Xero.
- Production of quarterly management accounts for clients and preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations.
- Overseeing several staff, including workflow management, providing training, and supporting their professional development.
- Review of non-audit engagements such as audit exemption accounts.
- Support the partners with operational management of the firm, business development, growth opportunities etc.
