We are seeking a fully qualified, senior accountant who’s looking for an accounts preparation role, with opportunities in audit to join our team. In this role, you will be working with a varied client base and across a range of exciting sectors as well as supporting some of our trainees with their career progression, assisting with process development/improvement and other senior accounting duties. We would like you to have a passion for working within multidisciplinary practice, to be driven and forward thinking, meticulous and accurate.
Hours: 39.5 hours per week.
Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience
Location: Summit House, Woodland Park, Bradford Road, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, BD19 6BW
The Role:
- Preparing year end accounts for limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders.
- Preparing personal and corporation tax computations and returns.
- Assisting the Partners with ad hoc work for clients.
- Liaising with clients over their accounts and queries.
- Review accounts and help with trainee’s where necessary.
- Supporting trainee accountants through mentoring.
- Assisting with Audit work.
- Supporting with process development.
- Management of internal databases to ensure accuracy.
- Assigning work for trainees and providing appropriate feedback.
You will be reporting on each assignment directly to a partner, and we have a team of accounts employees available to assist on assignments. Wherever possible we encourage the delegation of work to provide valuable practical training.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) or QBE.
- Previous Audit Experience minimum 1 year preferred.
- Previous experience is essential – 4 Years minimum in a similar practice environment.
- General practice background with good technical skills in the areas of accounts preparation and taxation.
Internal career progression pathway:
- 2 hours per month CPD.

- Dress down day the last Friday of every month.
- Excellent company policies.
Start times can vary: between 8:30am- 9:30am. Up to one hour lunch on any given day. Finish between 5pm and 6pm Monday to Thursday. 4:30pm to 5:30pm finish on a Friday.
