We’re seeking an Audit & Accounts Director to join our dynamic accounting practice. Perhaps you’re looking to take the next step up to Director level, or maybe you’re already there and looking for a new challenge. We’re looking for a qualified audit and accounts director who’s eager for a varied, multidisciplinary role in a leading firm of accountants. You will be working with a varied client base across a range of exciting sectors. We’d like you to have a passion for working within a practice, to be driven and forward-thinking, to have great management and people skills and genuinely enjoy the process of accountancy work.
Criteria:
- FCA/CA/FCCA qualified and experienced in managing a varied portfolio of clients.
- Experience building teams, implementing strategy, and winning business.
- Hands-on approach to management, with unwavering commitment to help achieve growth targets.
Main duties will include:
- Providing business and compliance advice to clients, assisting managers in the provision of advice to their clients for more complex issues.
- Responsible for assuring billing completeness, statutory deadline adherence, and the application of accounting standards across all compliance activities.
- Assisting clients with audits, liaising with external auditors, completing and reporting on due diligence and involvement with mergers and acquisitions.
- Responsible for all hiring, training, and development of ACCA students.
- Lead a team of audit and assurance staff, including resource allocation, quality control, and compliance management.
- Working with clients in a wide range of industries, including real estate, utilities, shipping, consumer markets, and industrial products across OMBs, Groups and component entities, public interest, multinational corporations.
- Leading audits, financial reporting, internal control processes, procedures/assurance services, ICFRs reviews, IFRS, UK and US GAAP.
- Leading senior client management throughout audit engagements, throughout risk assessment and planning, audit execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Developing audit scope and plans, including working with internal auditors and other specialists.
- Improving controls environments, accounting and business processes through detailed controls review and value-add business aligned recommendations.
- Providing technical support on risk assurance reviews for enterprise risk management engagements and controls evaluations.
- Driving business development through growth strategies, including preparing business proposals and pitching.
- Representing the firm within audit committees, shareholder meetings, and AGMs.
- Direct responsibility for several accounting and audit professionals, leading their performance, on-engagement skill development, and career development.
- Supporting financial metrics on new client wins, RPH and overrun/scope creep recoveries.
- Assisting with HR initiatives, including recruiting experienced hires and graduates.
