Shenton Group is on the lookout for an experienced Generator Rental Engineer to join our Power Rental team!
What’s the role?
As a Senior Rental Engineer, you will be required to provide and deliver a consistently professional level of service to our customers while acting as an ambassador of the Shenton Group brand. You will need a focus on quality with strong attention to detail and an enthusiastic attitude to achieve the customer’s full requirements.
You’ll travel around the UK in your company provided vehicle carrying out a mixture of installations, site deliveries, deinstallations, scheduled service work and reactive work, which may involve overnight stays, so a flexible approach to working patterns is required. Being part of the Rental team means you’ll be part of our on-call rota that offers a 24/7 response to our customers.
The role will also involve servicing and maintaining generators and electrical equipment on site and in our own yard. This role is a fantastic balance of working with a team of engineers with the backup of a strong support team in the office to enable you to fulfil your role. You will be part of our wider technical support team that supports both internal colleagues and external customers with a can-do approach. You will be required to oversee the continued training and development of all engineers under you.
What do you need?
You need to have a keen attitude and take a positive proactive approach to engaging with your role and your colleagues. You need to be able to collaborate and take responsibility for tasks including seeking opportunities to improve.
You need to have solid experience of the temporary generator industry including generator related mechanical and/or engineering experience. You need to have full current electrical qualifications (18th Edition and 2391). A full driving licence, including trailer towing category, is essential.
