Location: Shenley Brook End School, start September 2026.

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus training days (approx. 39 weeks per year). Monday – Thursday 8:15am – 4:15pm, Friday 8:15am – 3:45pm, with a half‑hour unpaid break.

Salary: Grade 5 £27,693 – £31,021, pro rata; actual £24,031 – £26,920 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour.
  • Ensure set tasks are completed.
  • Cover primary subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, PE, and other curriculum disciplines.
  • Support pupils and staff during absences of teaching staff.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate or considering joining the teaching profession.
  • Highly organised, resilient and confident.
  • Experience and enjoyment of working with teenagers or within a school environment.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous but not essential.
