Work for Shelter in a full-time fundraising role and help eliminate bad housing and homelessness in the UK! We are looking for passionate, dynamic and driven individuals who are passionate about social change to represent Shelter, the UK’s largest housing and homelessness charity.

Hours guaranteed - not a zero hour contract:

  • Monday to Friday, 10.45am-6.45pm OR 1.30pm-9pm
  • Work 5 days per week - no weekends!

£14.80 - £16.80 per hour - NOT a commission-based role

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through their advice, support and legal services. They campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to them for help.

Street charity fundraising: As a street charity fundraiser for Shelter, you will head out with your team each day to different busy high streets in London (and occasionally indoor locations such as shopping centres and railway stations). You will engage in conversations with members of the public who are out and about, inspiring them to support Shelter through an ongoing donation.

Door to Door Fundraising: You would be working in different residential areas, where you would be speaking to members of the public over their doorsteps.

A fundraising/sales role at Shelter not only defends the most vulnerable within society but also equips successful applicants with skills needed for various roles in multiple sectors moving forward.

The Ideal Candidate: Successful applicants will be confident communicators with great interpersonal skills, who enjoy working outside as part of a lively team. They will be an advocate of human rights, who is keen to campaign for social change! They will be an activist at heart and keen to make a real difference.
