Role Overview
Assistant Shop Manager responsible for ensuring the shop is welcoming, visually appealing, and that volunteers are motivated to engage customers and maximise sales.
- Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Shop Manager to manage the shop’s appearance and operations.
- Recruit, support and develop a strong community‑focused shop team.
- Empower volunteers to maximise Shelter’s income.
- Represent Shelter locally, sharing knowledge of the cause with customers, donors and potential clients.
- Maintain a safe, clean, bright and happy environment for team and customers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Energetic, enthusiastic leader with a passion for managing and empowering people.
- Exceptional motivational skills to inspire the team to increase sales and control costs.
- Ready to take on new challenges and keen interest in Shelter’s cause.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other systems used in the role.
- Friendly and personable, able to work well as part of a team.
