You will play a critical role in developing future materials, influencing product creation, and reducing plastic pollution. The Opportunity This is a unique chance to help scale sustainable, high-performance alternatives to conventional plastics. As part of our team, you will: Collaborate with science and engineering teams to develop and optimize new material formulations with improved properties. Source and work with novel biomaterials worldwide to create innovative products. Develop and test material formulations in industrial polymer processes, including compounding, injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion. Work with suppliers on new materials, including analysis, testing, and qualification. Our Ideal Candidate Holds a degree in Polymer Processing, Materials Science, or a related field, with at least 1 year of industry experience. Has a proactive, results-driven mindset and a strong willingness to learn. Demonstrates skills in experimental design, data analysis, validation, and documentation. Applies creative and critical thinking to improve material processes and solve problems with simple solutions. Proficient in polymer processing techniques such as extrusion, injection molding, compounding, and blow molding. Experienced in polymer characterization methods, including thermal analysis, rheology, mechanical testing, and microscopy.
