You will play a critical role in developing future materials, influencing product creation, and reducing plastic pollution.
The Opportunity: This is a unique chance to help scale sustainable, high-performance alternatives to conventional plastics. As part of our team, you will:
- Collaborate with science and engineering teams to develop and optimize new material formulations with improved properties.
- Source and work with novel biomaterials worldwide to create innovative products.
- Develop and test material formulations in industrial polymer processes, including compounding, injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion.
- Work with suppliers on new materials, including analysis, testing, and qualification.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a degree in Polymer Processing, Materials Science, or a related field, with at least 1 year of industry experience.
- Has a proactive, results-driven mindset and a strong willingness to learn.
- Demonstrates skills in experimental design, data analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Applies creative and critical thinking to improve material processes and solve problems with simple solutions.
- Proficient in polymer processing techniques such as extrusion, injection molding, compounding, and blow molding.
- Experienced in polymer characterization methods, including thermal analysis, rheology, mechanical testing, and microscopy.
