About Shellworks
At Shellworks, we’re on a mission to make plastic waste a thing of the past. We’re creating a new generation of materials - sustainable, high-performing, and designed to disappear. By reimagining how materials are made, we’re tackling one of the world’s most urgent environmental challenges.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Growth Associate to help us scale Shellworks by building a predictable, high-quality pipeline of opportunities. This is a broad role for someone who enjoys moving between writing, research, coordination and creative problem solving, rather than sitting in a specialist lane. Working closely with our founders, commercial team, and in-house designers, you’ll help turn Shellworks’ commercial momentum into clear, high quality assets, campaigns and coordination across the customer lifecycle.

This role is perfect for someone who can combine creativity with commercial focus turning customer insights, market knowledge into measurable results. You’ll have high autonomy, work closely with the leadership team, and the chance to shape how Shellworks tells its story to the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth & Experimentation: Design and execute growth experiments across channels. Develop hypotheses for growth based on data and research. Define and track success metrics, report insights and iterate quickly.
  • External asset creation: A big part of the role is helping Shellworks create and coordinate the materials, messaging and follow through needed across the customer journey - from outreach and events to launches, press moments and customer facing assets.
  • Design & Visual Direction: Work with designers to develop clear, compelling assets. Bring a strong eye for messaging, structure and presentation. Help maintain consistency across customer facing materials. Familiarity or ability to learn Figma, AI tools, or Adobe is a bonus.
  • Deliver consistent and high quality content & communication: Write blog posts, newsletters, and press releases. Support product launches with clear messaging. Optimize website copy and conversion paths.
  • Project Management: Coordinate cross-functional initiatives. For e.g. Lead co-marketing launches or event planning. Manage timelines and stakeholder alignment.
  • Research: You’ll research customer categories, retailer requirements, market signals and sustainability targets, then turn that into useful inputs for outreach, positioning and sales conversations.
  • Support revenue growth: Ensure all work benefits the Shellworks brand, generates qualified leads, strengthens sales pipeline, and ties directly to revenue goals.

Must haves

  • Critical problem solving: You frame problems with hypotheses and metrics.
  • Research Ability: You are used to gathering and synthesizing information, such as market insights to make recommendations.
  • Copywriting: You are a clear, persuasive and structured writer.
  • Design Sensibility: Strong visual hierarchy and taste.
  • Project Management skills: Plans, prioritizes, and coordinates effectively.
  • Other key skills: Ownership: You take responsibility without prompting and given ‘what’ can figure out the how. Accountability: You measure and report outcomes. Experimentation: You have a bias toward testing and iteration. Detail Orientation: High execution quality. Learning agility: You proactively learn new skills and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Comfort working with technical or scientific product detail.
  • A degree in science, engineering, or related fields.

Don’t meet 100% of the qualifications? Studies show that women and people from underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every requirement. At Shellworks, we value diversity of thought and recognise that skills and experience can be built in many ways. If you’re excited about this role and our mission but don’t tick every single box, we’d still love to hear from you.

What we offer

  • 21 days holiday + birthday off + 27–31st December (plus public holidays)
  • Growth and development opportunities as we scale
  • Competitive salary + equity options
  • Regular socials + daily catered lunch at the office
  • A tightly knit, passionate team making a real impact
