Job Description
As the Resource Management Analyst, you will strategically oversee resource allocation and align staffing needs, covering both employees and contractors, across various locations, business lines, and teams. You will serve as a key liaison between project teams seeking specialized expertise and Capability Centre (CC) managers responsible for talent and capability oversight. Your role requires close coordination with the Sourcing team to identify and onboard qualified contractors, demanding strong communication and interpersonal skills. You'll quickly earn the trust of sponsors and stakeholders, gaining credibility through your insights and playing an active role in key meetings. Skilled in conflict resolution, you will handle challenging conversations with tact and professionalism. By leveraging your analytical and organizational strengths, you will drive continuous improvement through efficient processes, proactively identify current and future capability gaps, and deliver actionable insights and reports that support IT business objectives and enhance overall performance.
What you'll be doing
In addition to your technical and analytical expertise, you'll naturally draw on your strong people skills, serving as a vital link between project teams' resource needs and the delivery of those resources. Throughout, you'll foster constructive and trusting relationships with a diverse range of business stakeholders, most of whom operate in virtual environments-ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
More specific duties will include:
- Helping to drive quality, availability, and consistency across the resource management data.
- Handling the release of resources from assignments
- Working with the IT Sourcing team to source contractors (from request to contract set up)
- Managing escalations for respective groups in case of resource allocation issues
- Supporting continuous improvements and other initiatives within the team
- Manage and support account management face-up for selected resource group to ensure robust technical, functional and domain knowledge is available across the different groups required for that area
- Through data & analytics, support CC managers/leads to develop a future-proof technical and domain capability in terms of numbers, skills and (re)sourcing channels
What you bring
- Has proven years of experience in IT Resource Management or equivalent experience via IT Project management, IT PMO work, Human Resource management or IT Capability Centre management
- Degree level in STEM, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a relevant field of applied mathematics
- Experience and expertise with a diverse workforce strategy
- Proven stakeholder and relationship management skills
- An ability to be delivery focused and deliver in a maturing business model
- Skilled at supporting and participating in developing effective solutions where broader frameworks might not be in place or be under development
- Experience with resourcing processes (demand validation, allocation, de-allocation, KPI tracking) for large accounts and engagements
- Experience with reporting and analytics of resource data
- An understanding of the disciplines and roles in IT projects and services
