Stanlow Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) plant is a key strategic asset for Shell which requires maximum availability and reliability to remain competitive. The Maintenance and Operations team are key personnel in ensuring the asset runs smoothly and safely 24/7. Your responsibilities will span across general operations, preventive and proactive maintenance programs as well as supporting projects. You will be integral in creating a culture where safety is not just a set of rules but a fundamental part of our daily operations and behaviours. You will encourage and help develop an environment where innovation, flexibility, and reflective learning are considered normal practices whilst ensuring multiskilling is at the forefront of everything we do. Operations and maintenance activities will be executed with a ‘one team’ mentality. The Maintenance Operator will support general day to day operations and execution of key mechanical maintenance activities on the site in line with requirements as directed by Maintenance Coordinator. You will play a key role in maintaining the asset’s integrity to best practice standards and support control of work.
What You Bring
- Demonstrated reliability with a strong can-do attitude and a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong safety leadership capabilities and effective teamwork skills
- Proven stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
- High attention to detail, commitment to quality, and strong ownership of outcomes
- Experience managing work in a hydrocarbon environment with multiple interfaces
- Preferably experienced in general maintenance activities such as surveillance, basic fault-finding, flange breaks, etc.
- FLBM competencies – Lead Permit Issuer or actively working toward this qualification
- willingness and ability to work onsite at Stanlow on a 40-hour weekly shift rotation (6–2, 2–10, and four-night shifts from 8–6), with flexibility to provide coverage during leave periods when/if required
Note: Training will be provided for successful candidates who do not yet meet all listed requirements.
