Senior Business Analyst will support the Downstream ERP Customer DV LSC team, focusing on Secondary Distribution for Lubes Supply Chain and Fuels Shipments. The role is responsible for delivering functional designs for projects and change requests in close collaboration with business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading functional design discussions, producing functional specifications, guiding application development, and supporting testing and solution acceptance.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, fit-for-purpose IT solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Driving clarification of complex and analytical requirements from a technical solution design perspective and delivering effort estimates for those solutions.
  • Leveraging knowledge artifacts and senior stakeholder support in ensuring appropriate solution delivery.
  • Creating or modifying functional specifications from a technical design perspective.
  • Developing design/solution development for reports, interfaces, enhancements and forms.
  • Participating in blueprint and design sessions, reviewing options and providing recommendations while communicating the benefits, risks, and constraints to both the business and IT stakeholders.
  • Working closely with Design Leads and Application Delivery Leads to ensure new capabilities and new business requirements are understood and implemented in new work items.
  • Assisting in the resolution of production issues in meetings with the Support Organization.
  • Performing prototyping in support of requirements definition or technical design questions.
  • Writing test scripts, executing unit and integration testing, and supporting the execution of regression testing.
  • Resolving defects/issues during test cycles and providing post-project go-live support.
  • Creating run books and participating in run-book peer reviews.
  • Reading and interpreting data object definitions.
  • Managing batch jobs leveraging scheduling and processing tools.
  • Prioritising, managing, and delivering multiple tasks—meeting aligned timelines, ensuring optimal quality, and optimising customer satisfaction.

What You Bring:

  • Extensive experience in functional configuration in SAP, with experience in SAP Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution or SAP IS Oil Downstream.
  • Strong track record and demonstrated experience in functional design and delivery.
  • The candidate should have SAP IS OIL Downstream knowledge and skills, focused in the following areas:
    • SAP Sales and Distribution – Skilled
    • Basic ABAP debugging and understanding of code – Knowledge
    • Transportation and Distribution (SAP IS-OIL TD) including master data and transportation planning – Skilled
    • SAP Logistics Execution (SAP LE) shipments – Skilled
    • Shipment costing – Skilled
    • SAP Supply Chain (purchase orders, stock transfers, inventory management, etc.) – Skilled
    • Data interchange between SAP and third-party systems – Skilled
    • Work on complex interfaces / RIEF – Skilled
    • Contracts (customer/vendor), quotes, pricing – Knowledge
  • Skilled in requirements gathering and documenting from a technical solution perspective.
  • Organised and methodical; able to plan and implement according to plan while coping with uncertainty and risk.
  • Have oversight of all activities in one’s space, with an eye for detail.
  • Experience working on projects with IT, application, and data components.
  • Team player with experience working in virtual teams.
  • Fast learner who can work with limited hand-holding.
  • Able to coach or mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
  • Ability to adjust working hours as needed to align with global, cross-functional virtual teams.
