Overview
In this role you optimize convenience retail forecasting and replenishment across Shell UK’s company-owned network. You will own inventory health, available stock, and replenishment performance, shaping governance and turning data insights into actionable actions to improve customer experience and profitability. You’ll lead RELEX-driven planning, balancing sales growth with waste reduction and working capital. This is a cross-functional, data-led position focused on delivering measurable availability and efficiency gains.

Responsibilities
- Monitor RELEX forecasts, replenishment recommendations and exception alerts to identify risks and opportunities across the network
- Take timely action on demand, supply and inventory exceptions to maximise business value
- Review and optimise replenishment parameters (lead times, order quantities, safety stock, etc.)
- Analyse demand patterns, seasonality, promotions and local events to improve forecast quality
- Partner with Category Management for launches, delists, promotions with robust stock planning
- Work with suppliers and distributors to resolve service issues and mitigate availability risks
- Identify root causes of recurring exceptions and implement process/data improvements
- Develop and maintain SOPs, planning playbooks and governance for RELEX-enabled forecasting
- Provide clear performance insights on availability, forecast accuracy, service level, waste and exception volumes
- Champion a data-led, exception-based planning approach to scale the planning model
- Shape planning governance and ensure cross-functional alignment across functions
Key requirements
- Experience in supply planning, demand forecasting, replenishment or inventory management in FMCG/convenience/multi-site environments
- Strong analytical capability to interpret data and translate insight into action
- Experience with forecasting/replenishment systems; RELEX experience is advantageous
- Good understanding of availability, forecast accuracy, stock cover, waste and supplier service measures
- Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, category, operations, supply chain, IT and external partners
- Confidence to shape new processes and lead through ambiguity in new planning capability implementations
- Strong communication skills to explain complex issues simply
- High attention to detail, numeracy and competence in Excel and data visualization tools
