As the Supply Chain Commercial Specialist, you will lead the end-to-end Category Management & Contracting Process (CMCP), including strategy development, tactical execution, and contract management for an assigned portfolio. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders during the pre-award phase to design and implement procurement strategies that maximize value and working with both internal and external stakeholders post-award to ensure optimal delivery and contract performance. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive support across all types of procurement activities to drive efficiency and compliance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Value Creation
- Develop commercially competitive contracting strategies aligned with business needs and where appropriate, global initiatives
- Execute tenders, evaluate bids, and lead negotiations in accordance with CMCP guidelines
- Manage contracts to ensure delivery and drive continuous value improvement
- Identify and implement supply chain optimization opportunities
- HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment)
- Ensure supply chain strategies support Shell’s Goal Zero aspirations through robust contractor safety management
- Collaborate with Contract Managers and Owners to implement effective HSSE practices
- Business Interface
- Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and propose value-driven solutions
- Constructively challenge business demands and procurement practices to enhance efficiency and value
- Supplier Interface
- Foster strong supplier relationships and drive performance improvements using key contract metrics (e.g., HSSE, cost, operations)
- Maintain market awareness and leverage supplier developments and opportunities
