Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent service and ensuring a smooth checkout process. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, card payments, and refunds efficiently
- Provide information about products, promotions, and store policies to customers
- Upsell items where appropriate to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain organised merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor remains tidy
- Manage customer enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clarity
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed
- Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and escalate when necessary
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards within the store environment
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Friendly phone etiquette for customer enquiries over the phone
- Experience in merchandising or retail is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customers effectively
- Organised, reliable, and able to work well within a team environment
