This role sits at the centre of that process.
We are looking for a commercially-minded Client & Category Development Lead who can build strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and turn data into programmes that drive measurable business impact. This is not a passive reporting role. You will be expected to lead conversations, challenge thinking, uncover opportunities, and ensure Shelftrak programmes deliver real commercial value for clients.
What you’ll own
- Build strong relationships with global FMCG brands and retail partners
- Identify client needs, commercial opportunities, and execution gaps across categories and markets
- Lead the implementation and ongoing development of Shelftrak and ShelfCheck programmes
- Turn SKU-level data into clear, commercially actionable recommendations
- Deliver insight-led presentations and strategic reviews directly to clients
- Help clients improve category performance through better ranging, pricing, promotions, visibility, and execution
- Influence category and execution strategy using evidence-based insight
- Work closely with the commercial team to identify upsell, expansion, and growth opportunities
- Develop client-specific growth plans and execution improvement programmes
- Ensure client outputs are commercially relevant, actionable, and aligned to business objectives
- Become a recognised expert in travel retail execution and category development
What we’re looking for
Must have:
- Proven experience in FMCG category development, customer management, insights, or retail analytics
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and influence outcomes
- Experience working directly with clients or retail partners in a consultative capacity
- Deep understanding of category levers including space, assortment, pricing, promotions, and visibility
- Strong ability to turn data into compelling commercial stories and recommendations
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence handling complex datasets
- Strong PowerPoint and Power BI skills with experience creating high-quality client-facing outputs
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence leading conversations with senior commercial teams
