Hampshire County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team on a locum basis. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection and Child in Need plans
- Undertake Section 47 investigations and safeguarding enquiries
- Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning within required timescales
- Prepare detailed reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
- Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory guidance
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience within Safeguarding / Child Protection teams
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory frameworks
- Ability to manage complex cases and make sound risk-based decisions
- Strong communication and multi-agency working skills
