Enfield Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Child Protection Team. This is a frontline safeguarding role focused on managing risk, protecting vulnerable children, and supporting families through effective statutory interventions.
You will work within a supportive and high-performing service, delivering high-quality assessments and ensuring timely and outcome-focused care planning for children and families.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of Child Protection and Child in Need cases
- Undertake Section 47 enquiries and risk assessments
- Develop and review Child Protection plans
- Lead and participate in strategy discussions, conferences, and core group meetings
- Work directly with children and families to promote positive change
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences and court where required
- Maintain accurate and analytical case recordings
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s social care
- Strong experience within Child Protection teams
- Confidence managing complex and high-risk cases
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
