About the Role
You will be working within the Looked After Children team, supporting children and young people in care to achieve stability, permanency, and the best possible life chances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Looked After Children and Care Leavers
- Complete statutory visits, care planning, and pathway plans
- Chair and contribute to reviews, ensuring care plans remain outcome-focused
- Work closely with carers, families, and partner agencies
- Prepare high-quality reports for court and review meetings
- Promote stability, permanence, and positive outcomes for children in care
About You
We’re looking for a confident and experienced Social Worker who thrives in a busy LAC environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Strong experience within Looked After Children or similar teams
- Good understanding of care planning, permanency, and safeguarding frameworks
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and young people
- Strong report writing and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
