Essex County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a specialist role supporting children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they are safeguarded and receive the right level of support to achieve positive outcomes.
You will work within a multi-agency framework, delivering high-quality assessments, care planning, and statutory interventions across the child’s journey.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex needs
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory visits
- Complete and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children plans
- Work closely with families, carers, schools, and health professionals
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes where required
- Promote strengths-based and child-centred practice
- Maintain accurate and high-quality case recordings

- Experience within a Children with Disabilities team or working with complex needs
- Strong assessment and multi-agency working skills
