Herefordshire Council are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Safeguarding and Support Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that has undergone significant and positive transformation, with stable leadership and a clear vision for improving outcomes for children and families.
The team works with children and young people under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children Looked After frameworks, ensuring robust safeguarding practice, timely interventions, and strong multi-agency working. As a Senior Practitioner, you will support Social Workers through mentoring, modelling best practice, and holding a reduced caseload of complex cases.
Herefordshire s model of practice is strengths-based and relational, built around Signs of Safety, trauma-informed approaches, and consistent relationship-building with families. You ll be supported through regular supervision, reflective spaces, and a leadership team that values your voice.
