The Role

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, personalised learning programmes that support pupils with autism across a range of ages and abilities. You will:

  • Lead a class of pupils with autism and additional needs
  • Plan, deliver, assess, and adapt learning to meet individual needs
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP outcomes
  • Support pupils' communication, independence, wellbeing, and preparation for adulthood
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent and supportive approaches
  • Contribute to the wider development of the school community
