Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and court proceedings
- Undertake Section 47 investigations and risk assessments
- Develop and implement child-centred care and protection plans
- Prepare reports for court, conferences, and statutory reviews
- Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, core groups, and child protection conferences
- Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals including health, education, and police
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory requirements
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience within Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Assessment teams
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance
- Ability to manage complex cases and make sound professional decisions
- Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
