Hammersmith & Fulham Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team. This is a frontline role focused on protecting children, managing risk, and supporting families through effective statutory interventions and relationship-based practice.
You will work within a supportive safeguarding service, delivering high-quality assessments and care planning to ensure positive outcomes for children and young people.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases
- Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 assessments
- Develop and review safeguarding and care plans
- Lead and participate in multi-agency meetings and conferences
- Work directly with children and families to promote positive change
- Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate case recordings
- Contribute to permanency planning where required
What You’ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s social care
- Strong experience within safeguarding teams (CIN/CP)
- Confidence managing complex and high-risk cases
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
