Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join its Children and Families Team. You will play a key role in managing complex cases, supporting Social Workers, and ensuring high-quality practice across the service. This role combines direct case responsibility with mentoring, guidance, and contributing to strong decision-making within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on complex cases across CIN, CP, and CIC, including court work.
  • Provide support, guidance, and mentoring to Social Workers.
  • Complete high-quality assessments and develop robust care and safety plans.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners including health, education, and police.
  • Contribute to team development and promote best practice.
  • Prepare detailed reports for court and multi-agency meetings.
