Sheldon Phillips are working with Devon County Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Children's Services team in a unique non-case holding position. Working closely with a Duty Manager, you will provide vital support to operational teams by ensuring children's records are accurate, comprehensive, and up to date. Role Overview:
This is a non-case holding role focused on delivering high-quality written and administrative social work support across Children's Services. You will play a key role in helping teams manage periods of increased demand by completing essential documentation and maintaining accurate case records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete duty forms and respond promptly to priority requests.
- Update and maintain children's case files to ensure records remain accurate and current.
- Produce clear and comprehensive chronologies, case summaries, and other essential written documentation.
- Support frontline teams with timely and accurate recording during periods of duty demand.
- Work efficiently and effectively within fast-moving environments whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Prioritise competing tasks and manage workload in collaboration with the Duty Manager.
- Ensure all written work reflects high standards of professional practice and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to positive outcomes for children and families through robust recording and administrative support.

Requirements:
- Social Work England registration.
- Qualified Social Worker status.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience.

- Ability to produce clear, analytical chronologies, summaries, and professional documentation.
- Confidence working independently within a remotely supported environment.
