Pay/Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum

Office Working: 2 Days per week

Contract: Permanent

We are currently working with Medway Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Localities Team in the Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Medway are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service. Medway are also offering a healthy relocation bonus of £8,000 and a market supplement of £5,000. A retention payment of £2,000 is also included in your salary after a year of service.

Duties:

  • Completing Child and Family Assessments for children with disabilities
  • Undertaking assessments of children’s needs, including complex and high-level support needs
  • Working closely with children, young people, parents and carers to identify appropriate support and services
  • Completing Section 17 assessments and safeguarding enquiries where necessary
  • Managing a varied caseload and working in a fast-paced team
  • Working collaboratively with education, health, SEN and other partner agencies
  • Participating in strategy meetings and multi-agency meetings where necessary
  • Developing and reviewing support plans to ensure children’s needs are being met
  • Assessing the needs of families and identifying appropriate packages of support and interventions
  • Promoting positive outcomes, independence and improved quality of life for children with disabilities
