We are currently working with Westmoreland and Furness Council to find two experienced Social Workers for their Assessment and Safeguarding team in Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Westmoreland are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service.
Duties:
- Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
- Supporting with the duty rota
- Undertake Section 7 and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
- Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
- Write conference reports and attend conferences, such as Core Group Meetings
