Sheldon Phillips are currently working with Westmorland and Furness Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker into their Assessment and Safeguarding Team. Role Overview
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload involving assessments, safeguarding intervention and court work. The team works with children and families from referral stage through Child Protection and pre-proceedings, ensuring children receive timely and effective intervention.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing Child and Family Assessments
- Undertaking S17 and S47 enquiries
- Managing Child Protection and Child in Need plans
- Completing court reports and supporting care proceedings
- Undertaking PLO and pre-proceedings work
- Working closely with multi-agency partners
- Completing direct work with children and families
- Maintaining high-quality recording and assessments
