Kent County Council is seeking a committed and experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team in Ramsgate. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-supported service that values high-quality practice, reflective supervision, and manageable caseloads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding interventions.
  • Completing statutory assessments, direct work, and risk analysis.
  • Developing and implementing effective care and safety plans.
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children’s needs are met.
  • Attending and contributing to case conferences, core groups, and court proceedings when required.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely case recordings and adhering to statutory guidelines.
  • Ensuring child-centred, strengths-based practice at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
  • SWE registration and right to work in the UK.
  • Strong background in children’s safeguarding and statutory social work.
  • Ability to manage risk, maintain professional curiosity, and make sound decisions.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with multi-agency partners.
