Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an Advanced Social Worker to join their Long Term Team, supporting children and families through ongoing statutory interventions. This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner looking to step into a high-impact, frontline position within a well-resourced local authority.
You’ll work with children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans, as well as those in care proceedings. The focus is on building meaningful relationships, maintaining permanence, and achieving positive outcomes through high-quality direct work and sound decision-making.
As an Advanced Social Worker, you will also act as a source of practice expertise and support to less experienced team members, contributing to a culture of learning and professional development.
To support agency workers commuting from outside the area, Gloucestershire offers a £150 weekly allowance towards accommodation or travel.
