The Role
We are currently looking for a production assistant, to join our weld kitting team, in the picking of parts for internal and external welding operations. The role involves the collecting of machined parts ready to be welded either internally or packaged up to be delivered externally. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be organised and previous experience working in a picking/packing or warehouse position would be advantageous.
Duties to include
- Safe loading and unloading of equipment and parts, without damage
- Identifying part locations from job cards
- Organising of ‘kits’ as per job cards and drawings
- Identifying discrepancies or missing parts
- Completion of necessary paperwork
- Adhering to schedules and following job directives
Skills and attributes
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills
- A key eye for accuracy
- Being resilient and calm under pressure
- The ability to work as a team and assist others when necessary, working towards a central goal
- FLT license would be advantageous
- Organised and proactive
