The General Manager will be Centre Principal for Toyota and have overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the assigned dealerships in the Portadown site, Nissan, AutoSelect and Renault as well as group functions such as Valet and Sales Administration. This is a strategic role where you will be responsible for driving performance in the areas of customer satisfaction, sales, profit and quality, inspiring the teams to deliver the highest standard of service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically reviews performance across the assigned dealerships and identifies future trends & opportunities.
  • Agrees and implements departmental budgets and dealership objectives, regularly monitoring performance against the budget and addressing any adverse trends with appropriate corrective action.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with manufacturers, customers and staff teams by understanding their requirements and exceeding their expectations.
  • Monitors the performance of the management team, using key measures and supporting them to manage and coach their respective teams.
  • Manages the Portadown site, facilities and equipment, ensuring the highest standard of compliance with respect to the environment, quality and health and safety.
  • Works closely with the sales and aftersales departments to help achieve business objectives, including manufacturer and financial targets.
  • Drives a continuous improvement culture underpinned by company values, coaching and inspiring teams to exceed targets while delivering outstanding customer care.

Qualifications

  • A business leader with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Confident communicator who can inspire a team.
  • Extensive experience of people management and team building.
  • Extensive knowledge of the motor industry.
  • Experience in using MS Office packages and dealer management systems (DMS).

Job Details

  • Working Hours: Average of 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
  • Salary: Competitive market salary (to be discussed).
