Shelbourne Motors is one of the largest and fastest-growing motor retailers. We represent major global franchises from 2 locations in Northern Ireland: Portadown and Newry. With continued aspirations for further growth, we are now seeking vehicle technicians to join our Newry team.
The purpose of a vehicle technician is to carry out general maintenance repairs, servicing and maintenance inspections to a high standard on a range of different vehicles. The vehicle technician will strive to achieve high productivity through conscientious improvements on efficiency.
The ideal vehicle technician candidate will be apprentice-trained or educated to at least NVQ/C&G Level 3 in light vehicle maintenance and repair. They will have an understanding and ability to work within strict health, safety, environmental & quality standards. The successful candidate must have a high attention to detail with the ability to work as a team player to carry out maintenance repairs, services and inspections to the dealership standard. The successful candidate will require the confidence to create vehicle health check videos for customers. It is an essential requirement to hold a clean, valid driving licence.
Preference will be given to those applicants with:
- Previous experience using CIT-Now video technology
- Previous mechanical / vehicle technician experience within a dealership
- Mechanical experience of electric vehicles or relevant EV qualification
- An additional relevant qualification such as Level 4 certificate in Advanced Automotive Diagnostic Techniques / Senior or Master qualification within a vehicle dealership or similar qualification
