We are looking for a commercially driven Group Parts Manager to lead and inspire our parts teams across our Newry & Portadown sites.

The Role

The Group Parts Manager's primary objective is to lead the parts team to deliver profitability and excellent customer satisfaction. This will involve the management of a team of group parts trade specialists, parts advisors and trainees to ensure the highest levels of productivity and customer standards are reached at all times.

Location: Based in Portadown, with weekly travel to also oversee the Newry site.

About you:

This role suits someone with substantial experience in leading a team in a large organisation in the motor industry. We are looking for someone who has the ability to consistently deliver results as well as motivate teams to reach their full potential.

Targets & Objectives

Reporting to the COO, you will work closely with the sales and aftersales departments to help achieve business objectives, including manufacturer and financial targets. With responsibility for the overall performance of the centre, you will drive a continuous improvement culture underpinned by the company values, coaching and inspiring teams to exceed targets while delivering an outstanding level of customer care.

General duties:

  • Strategically review the performance of the parts teams against the budget, identifying and addressing shortfalls while recognising opportunities for optimum performance.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and commercial performance.
  • Manage operational processes to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, control and distribution of parts.
  • Manage all aspects of parts inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimising excess stock.
  • Support account growth by identifying opportunities to enhance the service offering and strengthen the customer partnership.
  • Manage costs attributable to the parts department, continually reviewing and monitoring parts pricing policies, discounts and trade discounts to maintain profitability.
  • Manage the Group Parts facilities and equipment, ensuring the highest standard of compliance in respect to the environment, quality and health and safety.
