Shelbourne Motors is a multi-award-winning, family-run automotive group representing some of the world's most recognised vehicle manufacturers, alongside our own growing portfolio of specialist and rental brands. With significant plans for continued growth, we're investing seriously in technology and AI to make the business run smarter and we're looking for the right person to help lead that change.
We're looking for someone who gets things done - a project person who thrives on turning ideas into working solutions, from new system rollouts to cross-functional improvement projects across the business. This is a genuinely cross-functional role with real ownership and direct visibility to senior leadership. You'll work across sales, aftersales, marketing, and finance, rolling out new technology, improving data and reporting, and driving genuine adoption of what you build.
What you'll do
- Business improvement and process optimisation: Work with stakeholders across sales, aftersales, parts, logistics, and back-office functions to map current processes and identify inefficiencies. Analyse workflows and recommend system or process changes that reduce cost, cycle time, or manual effort. Track and report on the benefits delivered from improvement initiatives. Build business cases for proposed initiatives, including cost, time savings, and payback period.
- AI and innovation: Identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve efficiency and ways of working across the group. Support the rollout of AI tools into customer-facing and internal processes. Measure and report on the impact and adoption of AI initiatives. Facilitate training sessions to build AI awareness and adoption among management.
- IT systems and project delivery: Plan, test, and roll out new systems and upgrades, including dealer management, CRM, and reporting platforms. Gather and document business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and liaise with internal teams and external vendors on delivery. Coordinate user acceptance testing, manage issue logs, and support go-live activities. Manage relationships with technology and software vendors, including escalation of support issues through to resolution. Identify opportunities to utilise Microsoft 365 applications more effectively across departments.
- Data, reporting, and analytics: Develop and maintain management reports and dashboards providing visibility of sales, stock, service, and financial performance. Improve data accuracy and consistency across systems, and support data cleansing initiatives. Provide analysis to support business cases for improvement projects.
- Communications and adoption: Roll out and champion stronger frameworks for internal and departmental communications. Act as the primary point of contact between business users and IT, resolving system-related issues or escalating as required. Prepare training materials and deliver training on new tools and processes. Support adoption of new systems and processes across departments and sites. Maintain documentation of processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Governance and compliance: Ensure improvement initiatives comply with company IT policies, data protection requirements, and audit standards. Support periodic reviews of system access, licensing, and IT asset records.
- Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.
What you'll bring
- At least 1 year's experience in IT, business analysis, or process improvement - we're open to strong graduates as well as more experienced candidates.
- Exposure to system implementation, upgrades, or rollout projects, whether through work experience, placement, or academic project work.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Experience or exposure to Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is beneficial.
- A genuine interest in AI and how it can be applied practically in business.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised approach comfortable running several projects at once.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between local sites as required.
Why join us
