The Role
The purpose of the Accounts Payable Controller is to ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable function. The job holder will be an essential part of a growing team providing administrative support to the Accounts Manager.

About You
This role is suited to an individual with substantial experience in an accounts payable team within a large organisation, ideally in the motor industry. We seek someone who can consistently deliver results, possess strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Targets & Objectives
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will collaborate closely with the sales and aftersales departments to help achieve business objectives, including manufacturer and financial targets. You will be responsible for the overall processing of all invoices and credit notes, checking and matching these to purchase orders by verifying GRNs against invoices and credits. This includes coding and entering data for invoices onto the purchase ledger system. Additionally, you will address and resolve all purchase ledger enquiries.
General Duties
- Reconcile all creditor statements on a monthly basis.
- Setup BACS/faster payment runs and individual payments to the purchase ledger and allocate payments to invoices.
- Pay for transactions with a Visa card and record transactions and maintain receipts.
- Assist with procurement admin when needed, including entering purchase orders on the system and ensuring any queries regarding no PO / incorrect PO on invoices are promptly dealt with by the procurement admin team.
- Assist senior accounts team members with all other areas of finance function as required.
