We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded lawyer to join our Europe Legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer (4+ years PQE) to join a fast-paced, in-house legal team supporting a rapidly scaling global e-commerce business.
The role is business facing and transaction focused, with primary responsibility for:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts including logistics agreements, customs brokerage arrangements, warehousing contracts, procurement agreements, leases, and related operational services.
- Advising on and resolving legal issues arising from these contracts.
- Leading and/or coordinating ad hoc legal projects related to logistics, warehousing, procurement operations, and/or trade compliance.
- Developing, reviewing, and enhancing internal policies and procedures to support business operations and ensure legal compliance.
- Supporting business teams with day-to-day commercial legal queries and providing pragmatic, business focused advice.
- Working closely with other members of the Europe legal team and global legal function on regional and cross-border projects as needed.
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with:
- 4+ years PQE from a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive initiatives to completion.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize effectively, and deliver results, both as an individual contributor and as a member of the European and global legal teams.
- A commercially minded and pragmatic approach to legal advice, balanced with sound professional judgment.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (both required as working languages).
