This is a role for an immaculately presented, proactive and reliable live-out hands-on Housekeeper/Cook to work alongside the live-in Housekeeper, for a private family at a historical and beautifully restored private residence in NW1.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Wardrobe management
  • Care of antiques
  • Care and upkeep of fabrics and items within the home
  • Occasional healthy and simple cooking
  • Preparing shopping list and doing the grocery/household shop
  • Setting and serving at the table (if required)
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Notifying the Principal if any items are damaged
  • Maintain high level security measures

The residence has numerous spacious bedrooms with a double height studio in the Mews behind.

Days and Hours – 5.5 days a week 7am – 4pm a ‘typical’ day but imperative to have flexible approach to working hours, including from time-to-time evenings and weekends particularly when Principals are in residence.

Salary £52,000 - £58,000 p.a with discretionary bonus. Holiday 20 days plus Bank Holidays. Candidates must have a DBS, verifiable references and legal right to work in the UK.
