Excellent role for an experienced, observant, cat and child friendly live‑in Housekeeper to assist a lovely young family. No cooking required but it would be useful if you are a confident driver. You will be joining a small household team including a Chef & PA but will also need to work independently to maintain the property to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation as well as overseeing the property, managing household accounts, liaising with contractors etc. You will not be required to travel in this role, but when the family are away you will be responsible for the care of the family’s two cats.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain the household to a high standard, supporting daily housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Manage all laundry requirements, including ironing and dry‑cleaning coordination.
- Oversee property maintenance, repairs, and the smooth running of household systems and appliances.
- Liaise with and supervise contractors and service providers.
- Ensure household areas, contents, and storage are well organised at all times.
- Manage household supplies, groceries, and cleaning products.
- Assist with packing and unpacking for travel and events.
- Support front‑of‑house duties, including welcoming guests and serving meals when required.
- Prepare and serve breakfast.
- Receive, unpack, and organise deliveries.
- Run general errands, including shopping and school drop‑offs.
- Ensure family vehicles are clean, fuelled, serviced, and well maintained.
- Assist with household budgeting, accounts, bills, and documentation as required.
- Provide occasional babysitting and ad‑hoc childcare support.
- Support the care of the family’s two cats.
