This is a role for an experienced and qualified accountant responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of family assets and operations, including both personal and LTD accounting, property management, and improvement projects. The role requires meticulous financial oversight, strategic planning and the ability to manage and supervise property-related activities effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Accounting and financial management
- Oversee all accounting activities for personal and LTD accounts.
- Generate and lead detailed quarterly reports summarising financial performance, expenditure and status, including forward-looking financial projections and analysis.
- Present financial reports and projections to family members and stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, financial statements, and tax filings (may be filed via a third party).
- Develop and advise financial strategies to optimise asset performance and growth.
- Property supervision and asset management
- Conduct weekly visits to family-owned properties with photographic reports to ensure proper upkeep.
- Oversee the finances of property improvement projects, liaising directly with the family and third parties.
- Negotiate commercial lease renewals and rent reviews.
- Liaison duties
- Facilitate clear and effective communication among all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and efficient resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with legal, financial and other professional advisors if necessary.
Qualifications
- Education - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. ACCA / CPA required.
- Experience - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or family office operations. Experience in commercial property is highly desirable.
- Skills - Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, excellent organisational skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and discretion / NDA will be mandatory.
- Available for occasional trips to Europe.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to property sites as needed.
