Sheffield Full-Time No working from home possible

Sheffield United is seeking a senior marketing leader to build the club’s marketing strategy, sharpen its brand and turn supporter insight into measurable commercial growth.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead an established function across customer relationship management, design, content, social media, video and campaign delivery. You will set the strategy, define priorities and make marketing a stronger commercial partner to the wider club.

The ambition is a sustained return to the Premier League. In the club’s first season without parachute payments, you will help fill Bramall Lane, grow membership and support hospitality and partnership revenue.

What you will lead:

  • A clear multi-year marketing and brand strategy, supported by an annual plan and practical performance measures.
  • A data-led supporter approach covering segmentation, personalisation, acquisition, conversion and retention.
  • Integrated campaigns which support ticketing, membership, hospitality, partnerships and a consistent club story.
  • A multidisciplinary team, with clear priorities, strong development and accountability for commercial outcomes.
  • Constructive relationships across senior leadership, especially commercial, media, ticketing, data, information technology and operations.

What you will bring:

You will bring senior marketing experience from football, sport, entertainment, leisure, hospitality, retail or another consumer-facing organisation. You will show evidence of building strategy, leading teams, using data well and linking marketing activity to revenue or customer value.

Football experience is a strong advantage. The club will also consider a senior number two ready for full ownership, or an exceptional consumer marketer who understands sport. You must challenge senior stakeholders constructively, make priorities clear and stay close enough to delivery to turn the plan into results.

Working at Bramall Lane

The club normally permits one day per week from home. Home-match attendance is expected, with time back supported through an any-five-days-in-seven approach.

Benefits

  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • life assurance
  • match ticket allocations
  • club shop discount
