Role

The Club is looking for competitive, forward-thinking, self-motivated and dedicated candidates who aspire to be the very best. The successful candidate will manage all on- and off-field football activities for the Sheffield United FC Women\\\'s First Team. The Head Coach will ensure the First Team\\\'s playing and coaching philosophy is aligned with the Club\\\'s ambition and vision, and will drive this vision through leadership, clear communication and strategic planning.

The Head Coach should provide clear leadership and support to Club Players and Staff, creating a high-performing team and environment with strong community values.

Role Responsibilities

  • To deliver a clear vision and supporting football strategy for the First Team, ensuring it is aligned with the Club\\\'s vision & values.
  • Ensure the Club has a professional and competitive squad, with a desire to develop, deliver and succeed to their full potential.
  • Manage the First Team support staff, providing strong leadership and effective performance management.
  • To adhere to any budgets, player transfer and salary policies as set by the Club Head of Women\\\'s & Girls Football.
  • Work with the Technical Board to create a succession plan for first-team players.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with the Club\\\'s Academy, and support when necessary.
  • Work with the Club\\\'s Media and PR department to promote the Club, ensuring communication is effective and in line with the Club\\\'s policies and procedures.

Club Wide Responsibilities

  • To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club\\\'s Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.
  • To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club\\\'s Safeguarding agenda.
  • To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.
  • To adhere to the Club\\\'s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.

Applicants Must Possess

  • UEFA A License
  • Tactically competent, with a successful track record of managing and/or coaching within a professional football team.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for coaching and mentoring elite youth and senior players.
  • Track record of consistent high performance in a professional football environment
  • Previous experience working at an elite level in Women\\\'s football.
  • Previous track record of developing youth players.
  • Empathy with young players, with an ability to inspire.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful, strong strategic relationships with club staff, and wider football stakeholders.
  • The ability to work with the Club on its strategic plan, both on and off the pitch
  • A strong connection with fans and excellent PR skills, able to commit time to work with the local community.
