The Advertising & Sponsorship Team at Sheffield Students’ Union is looking for someone ambitious, confident, commercially curious and ready to launch a career in advertising, events, sponsorship and partnerships. One minute, you could be coordinating a campaign for a national brand. The next, you could be supporting a live activation at one of the UK’s biggest student fairs. From digital advertising and sponsorship campaigns to Freshers’ Fair, Housing Fairs and major live events, no two days look the same.
Working closely with the Head of Advertising & Sponsorship, you’ll help deliver commercial campaigns and partnerships that reach more than 26,000 students across one of the UK’s leading Students’ Unions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building relationships and loves being busy. You’ll need to be adaptable, organised and confident speaking with clients both on the phone and face-to-face. Sometimes live events change quickly, so we’re looking for someone who can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure and make smart decisions in the moment. If you’re excited by advertising, events, partnerships, media sales or commercial brand activations, this is an opportunity to build real hands‑on experience from day one.
Key Duties
- Coordinating As Revenue: Supporting the sale and coordination of advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
- Fostering Partnerships: Assisting with sponsorship packages and commercial partnerships.
- Generating Business Leads: Helping identify and develop new business opportunities and leads.
- Championing Rewards: Supporting promotional activity for Sheffield Rewards and wider commercial campaigns.
- Coordinating Brand Support: Working with agencies, brands and partners to coordinate campaign delivery.
