Salary: £27,000 to £31,000 gross per annum pro rata dependent upon experience (actual of £23,298 to £26,749).

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, caring and supportive individual to serve as Safeguarding & Intervention Officer at Sheffield Park Academy. The successful candidate will work within an established team to oversee day‑to‑day safeguarding systems and procedures, liaise with Pastoral colleagues, teaching staff and the wider community under the leadership of the Designated Safeguard Lead (DSL). Where appropriate, the officer will provide intervention and guidance for students relating to well‑being and educational matters.
The successful candidate will have an awareness of safeguarding roles and responsibilities in education, be knowledgeable of local and national safeguarding developments, and have good working knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children. The post-holder will liaise with internal and external agencies to report, monitor and work alongside our families; we require a focussed professional who is organised and passionate about making a difference for our students, academy and the local community. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational running of safeguarding systems and procedures within the school.
- Liaise with internal and external agencies to report, monitor and support family engagement.
- Provide intervention and guidance for students’ well‑being and educational matters.
- Keep up to date with safeguarding roles and responsibilities, local and national developments, relevant statutory guidance including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Maintain a focused, professional approach and support the advocacy for students, academy and local community.
