Role

HR Officer at Sheffield High School for Girls

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high quality, efficient and professional HR service to the school community.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues across the cluster, the HR Manager (Cluster), and the GDST HR Business Partner.
  • Provide comprehensive HR administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on recruitment, payroll, employee records and the accurate upkeep of the Single Central Register (SCR) to ensure ISI compliance.
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff, managers and members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • Experienced HR professional, preferably within an education setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Confidence to ensure HR policies and procedures are followed at all levels.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification desirable, or equivalent HR experience at this level.

Pay & Working Hours

Salary: £30,723 to £40,989 per annum.

Hours: Full time, full year.

Start Date: January 2026.
