Sheffield Girls' is seeking an experienced and proactive External Relations Manager to join our Marketing and Admissions team.
This key role will lead the School's alumnae relations, bursary fundraising and external engagement activities, working with former pupils, parents, donors, commercial partners and the wider community. As we approach our 150th anniversary in 2028, the successful candidate will play a central role in delivering our bursary fundraising campaign, with a target of raising Β£1 million to increase access to a Sheffield Girls' education.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the School's alumnae relations and fundraising programme
- Developing relationships with donors, supporters and commercial partners
- Managing a programme of events and communications for alumnae, parents and the wider community
- Identifying and securing new fundraising and sponsorship opportunities
- Supporting careers, networking and partnership opportunities for pupils
- Managing donor stewardship, legacy giving and alumni engagement activities
About you
You will have experience in fundraising, events management or relationship management, alongside excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, proactive in your approach and motivated by achieving ambitious targets.
A strong belief in the transformative power of education and the ability to inspire support for the School's mission are essential.
