Here at Sheffield Hallam University we are recruiting for 2 Senior Insight Analysts. You will be working with other insight analysts and stakeholders through all areas of the service delivering key insight which will help guide the University strategy. You will play a crucial role in the team, managing the delivery of high-quality analysis for our stakeholders to improve performance, efficiency, and quality across the University.
You will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders to identify their needs, transforming necessary data, delivering analysis and dashboards to help drive decision-making. You will be keen to learn and engage with new analytical software packages. We would need you to be willing to manage your own workload and actively contribute to discussions and developments in the team. Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and explaining insight to report users is key.
We are looking for a Senior Insight Analyst whose key strengths include:
- Knowledge and experience in data analysis and the provision of insight
- Experience working with large and complex data sets
- Experience of working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver insights
- Highly proficient in the use of data transformation tools like: SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Python
- Working effectively in an environment of complex regulations and procedures (e.g. data protection regulations)
The Strategic Insight and Analysis team, within the Directorate of Strategy and Transformation is responsible for delivering sector leading data, insight and intelligence services to inform decision making and improve performance throughout the University. We use cutting edge data transformation and visualisation software such as Alteryx and Tableau to deliver vital analysis to our stakeholders. These services help to guide the strategy and direction of Sheffield Hallam University; supporting evidence-based decisions at every level.
